This summer course is designed to immerse teachers in the world of 21st- century thinking, focusing on the innovative use of LEGO Spike Essential, bee- bots and aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Throughout the course, participants will delve into practical and innovative resources, exploring how they can be effectively integrated into the classroom to foster computational thinking and creativity.

This course will introduce the fundamentals of AI in education, providing insights into how AI can be used to personalise learning experiences and make teaching more inclusive. Educators will learn about the potential of AI to support diverse learning needs, thereby enhancing student engagement and understanding across various subject areas.

The course also covers other essential topics, such as digital citizenship and online safety, finding and selecting high-quality digital content, and exploring the Digital Learning Framework.

Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.
Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

Tralee Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course.
In the event of the Centre having to cancel your course, you will be offered an alternative course or offered a full refund.

In line with DES Circular 0037/1997, participants attending Summer Courses accrue entitlements as follows:

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days
• No EPV days will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
