Play can often feel like “one more thing” in an already packed school day but what if it’s actually the foundation of meaningful learning?
In this practical, no-fluff webinar, particpants explore the real why behind play in the classroom through the lens of playful pedagogies in the Primary Curriculum Framework. Participants will look at what purposeful play can look like across all class levels, how to plan for it realistically and how to assess learning through play with confidence.

Presenter: Gillian Corbally
Gillian Corbally is a primary school teacher with fifteen years’ experience in a large urban school and currently holds the role of APII. She is a facilitator in play and playful pedagogies, co-host of the The Playful Lens Podcast and a creator and presenter of CPD webinars. Gillian has written DES-approved EPV/CPD courses and also writes articles on playful learning. Gillian works as an associate for the NCCA and also for Mary Immaculate College. Her work centres on playful learning, particularly in middle and senior primary classrooms.
