This Webinar is suitable for Primary Schools.

We are delighted to have TED Speaker John Doran present this Croke Park Webinar on 'Ramping Up Resilience'.  This session has been organised to facilitate whole staff attendance and we hope that school staff may find the sessions really beneficial particularly if they can attend as a staff (where possible). The sessions are being provided free of charge.  School staff must register individually HERE.

This Webinar will discuss the following topics:

  • How to spot the signs of burnout in yourself and others.
  • Check your Chatter - identifying types of Faulty Thinking and how to overcome them.
  • Beyond 'Positive Platitudes' - how to gain perspective, learn lessons, and develop strategies to help you meet life's challenges. 5 to thrive.
  • Relationship Rescue - how to repair, rebuild, or renew your relationships with others.

Bio of Presenter: John Doran:

John Doran has been a teacher and guidance counsellor for over 24 years. He is passionate about the transformative power of education to disrupt poverty, and help young people do all that they can, with all that they have, in the time that they have got, in the space that they are in.

John speaks to Management Bodies, Businesses, Education Trusts, Teachers, Parents and Students on the topics of Resilience, EQ, Well-being in the workplace, Stress Management, and Maximising Performance both nationally and internationally.  John is a TED speaker and a media contributor. He designed and delivers the SMART Training Programme (Stress Management And Resilience Training).

John is also the author of The Ways to Well-Being’, which is designed to help 15-18 year olds explore how to maintain their own sense of well-being, leading to improved academic outcomes in school and a sense of accomplishment in life. Currently taught in over 140 schools both here and in mainland Europe, the content is designed around five core areas of life which affect well-being:

  • Our relationship with life
  • Relationship with emotions
  • Relationship with mind-set, meaning and purpose
  • Relationship with past, present and future
  • Relationship with personality, talent and performance.
