This course will re-examine the core principles of the IYTCM programme and assist you in meeting the needs of children impacted by the school closures. The DES/NEPS Wellbeing guidelines, webinars and toolkits have set out the essential elements in promoting resilience and recovery in the school community. The importance of safety, calming, connectedness, efficacy and hope are woven throughout the IYTCM programme. It is our hope that the refresher course will remind participants of practical examples of how to develop children’s social, emotional and academic competence.
