21TRA159 Supporting SEN Remotely: An Assistive Toolkit for Learners with SEN in the areas of Literacy, Mathematics, and SESE
This SEN focused webinar will outline a variety of practical strategies and methods for adapting free technologies for remote learning to support and challenge students from 1st to 6th class. Dual-channel approaches via remote learning for both mainstream and gifted students with Dyslexia, ASD, Dyspraxia, and ADHD will be explored, and a bank of resources will be provided to participants along with useful apps and approaches to support the teaching of Literacy, Numeracy, and SESE.
Presenter Bio: Dr Muireann O' Sullivan

Dr. Muireann O’Sullivan recently completed her PhD in Inclusive Design and Creative Technology Innovation, with a focus on virtual technologies and kinaesthetic learning tools for twice exceptional students. She is also a primary school teacher, with 10 years of experience working with DEIS schools and in gifted education settings. Muireann is the recipient of the CAPSL Postgraduate Teaching Award from Trinity College, Dublin, for her work on assistive technology, and has developed courses for teacher training and university-style courses in both the Sciences and Humanities.
