Picture Communication Symbols (PCS) are used throughout boardmaker and represent words and phrases to help the learner achieve communication.

What's more Boardmaker consists of Reading Avenue, this is an all-inclusive, learn-to-read program for all students. Reading Avenue follows a path that builds foundational literacy skills with engaging topics and interactive instruction. Reading Avenue includes: 1,000 pre-made activities to teach reading, writing, letter & word sounds.

Boardmaker is split up into two products, Boardmaker Standard and Boardmaker Subscription.
With standard you have access to the software through a link indefinitely whereas with subscription you are registered for the specified period of one year or five years depending on your choice of subscription.
