Writing development begins from the earliest stages of schooling and requires a structured, supportive approach. This webinar explores how to scaffold children’s writing through oral language, modelling, and guided practice. Grounded in research on early literacy development, it emphasises the connection between talk, reading, and writing. Teachers will gain practical strategies to support children in becoming confident, independent writers, from emergent mark-making to simple sentence construction, within a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
