24TRA206 Build Your Digital Toolkit – a universal student support
A wide range of digital tools is now freely available to support students in many aspects of learning. However, students may be overwhelmed by the choice or simply unaware of what is available. MTU offers first-year students a first-semester workshop – Build Your Digital Toolkit – to introduce some of the most widely used digital tools and show how students can best use these to support their learning. Feedback from students and staff on this intervention has been overwhelmingly positive. The workshop could easily be adapted to the differing contexts of second-level or Further Education as a universal student support.
This session will demonstrate what has been done in MTU and offer a space for discussion on guidance on digital tool use in different educational contexts.
Presenter - Jane Brennan

The workshop is facilitated by Jane Brennan, Transitions Facilitator at Munster Technological University, Kerry Campus. Jane is a language and communication teacher who has worked in second-level, further and higher education. The webinar is offered through the PATH 3 programme for access to higher education.
