This webinar will concentrate on the use of free online simulations to enrich your JC science learning experiences. Throughout the session, a variety of online simulations will be showcased that are not only easy to use but also highly effective in bringing complex scientific ideas to life in the classroom. These resources have been carefully selected to align with various learning outcomes from the formation of the universe to lunar phases and eclipses, allowing teachers to bring discovery-based, practical learning into their earth and space modules.
Bio of Presenter: Shannon Aherne
Shannon is a Post-Primary Maths and Chemistry teacher and the creator of @craic_matamaitc. She has over 6 years of experience in STEM education and strives to make maths enjoyable for students of all abilities. Galileo Galilei stated that “Mathematics is the language with which God has written the universe” and this concept forms the basis of Shannon’s teaching methods; When every aspect of our reality is encoded in maths, the world is an infinite well of inspiration to make maths fun and engaging.
