20TRA518 Switching on for Learning: Helping 2nd level students to become Independent Learners

Designed by experienced teacher, educator and author, Dr. Fidelma Healy Eames, PhD, the purpose of this new Online course is to ease students back to school and to make learning easier for them. We achieve this by enabling the student to embark on a journey of self-discovery so they can learn to be learners by:

  • (i) figuring out how they learn best through the various exercises and
  • (ii) becoming aware of a range of study, learning and mindset strategies that they can apply to their own work.

Throughout students are engaged in self-evaluation and we address student wellbeing issues, in enabling them to become independent learners.

This webinar is highly relevant to parents concerned about their child’s education, teachers too.

In the Webinar Student and teacher testimonials including samples of the content will be shared across the 6 course modules:

  • Knowing your Brain, Learning Styles
  • Getting Motivated, Concentration
  • Managing Time, Learning to Plan
  • Reading to Learn, Summarising
  • Memory & Recall, the Study-Review System
  • Sitting the Exam, Managing Stress
