SUMMER ICT COURSE 2026

This creative course will introduces teachers to the skills involved in the filmmaking process. It takes a hands-on approach to learning and mirrors the process, step by step, that participants can use when undertaking filmmaking in their own classrooms. Participants will be guided through the filmmaking process, while also learning how this may be applied to a classroom setting to support and enhance pupils’ literacy development across the curriculum. Gain insight into the range of skills associated with filmmaking such as planning a shoot, capturing footage and editing. Content in this course shall also focus on the Fís Film Project, a highly successful initiative for primary schools. Useful resources as well as examples for cross-curricular work, will be discussed and explored. Other key areas of course content include digital citizenship, digital tools to support inclusive learning, exploring how a school may go about updating their digital learning plan.

Summer Course Booking Policy

Our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable.
Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees.

Tralee Education Support Centre reserves the right to cancel a Summer Course where there are not sufficient numbers to run the course.
In the event of the Centre having to cancel your course, you will be offered an alternative course or offered a full refund.

In line with DES Circular 0037/1997, participants attending Summer Courses accrue entitlements as follows:

• Full Attendance (20 Hours): 3 EPV Days
• 4 Days Attendance (16 Hours): 2 EPV Days
• No EPV days will be awarded for less than 4 days attendance
