Using ICT to foster an Inquiry Based Learning environment. The transformation of the new Senior Cycle is now underway and many subjects such as Economics and Physical Education have adopted new course specifications. The aim of these new courses is to develop independent learners who have an ability to think critically, process information, communicate effectively and be creative. These key skills are essential for answering questions at both Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate level as the questioning style has moved away from a recital of knowledge format to one that requires students to think more deeply about current and relevant issues.
This webinar will demonstrate how to practically foster an inquiry-based Learning environment. The webinar will illustrate how ICT can be used to support and enhance this pedological approach to learning and teaching.
