22TRA414 Autism – Communication Foundations

Date:        Monday, 3rd October 2022
Time :       7pm - 8.30pm
Venue:     Online Via Zoom

Autism is ‘a neurological difference that many people are born with which affects how they experience the world around them and how they communicate with others’ (AsIAm).

As the first webinar in a series of five, we will take time to understand what is autism, what it can look like in the classroom, current issues around diagnosis and more! We will spend time considering the neurodiversity movement, and how we can embed pro-neurodiversity practices within your classroom.

At the end of the session, you will be able to create an individual communication profile for each child.

This webinar is suitable for SNAs, teachers and learning support teachers at primary and post-primary level.
