Q & A focussed session for schools who are preparing autism friendly learning environments.

Create a calm, supportive and effective learning environment for autistic pupils with this practical online workshop. Led by an experienced occupational therapist, this session will provide clear, actionable strategies for setting up an autism-friendly classroom, including sensory supports, structure, routines and environmental adaptations.

The workshop will include real-life examples, practical tips you can implement immediately, and guidance tailored to the primary school context. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss challenges.

Participants are encouraged to submit specific queries in advance so the session can be shaped around the needs of the group, ensuring relevant and meaningful learning for your classroom.

Bio of Presenter: Liath Sheehan

Liath Sheehan is an Occupational Therapist based in North Cork. Liath works with children and adolescents from 0-18. Liath’s passion is providing child-led therapy that focuses on building independence and involves a child’s entire support system. Liath has completed additional training in sensory integration, cognitive behavioral therapy, feeding therapy and mindfulness for children with additional needs.  @risetherapy.ie
