Bio of Presenter: Rickie O' Keeffe

Rickie O’Keeffe is a Wood Technology and Graphics teacher with over 30 years of experience. He is the ICT Coordinator at Scoil Mhuire Kanturk in County Cork and has played a key role in supporting the integration of technology into teaching and learning.

With a strong belief in the principles of “work smarter, not harder” and “it’s a bad day that you don’t learn something new,” he has steadily developed his skills in ICT since the introduction of digital portfolios to Design and Communication Graphics at the start of the century. Recognising the value of technology in education, he worked to build his confidence and capability in this area. 

He has previously worked as an ICT tutor with PDST and T4, supporting teachers in developing their digital skills and integrating technology into their teaching. Now, he is focused on helping other educators make effective use of tools like Brisk Teaching AI to create resources and streamline their work. His practical and straightforward approach ensures that technology feels accessible and useful for educators of all levels.
