Course Description:
As Educators and SNA's, you spend large amounts of time every day with these children where everyday opportunities can be used to build positive learning experiences. This course will help you understand the 'Why' behind a child's behaviour, the 'What' causes these difficulties and the 'How' you can help develop these skills in school. After completing this course, you will feel more confident in understanding the underlying skills necessary for school-based tasks such as handwriting, social skills and paying attention. With this understanding, comes an increased ability to identify possible difficulties and put strategies in place immediately that can help support a child's participation and learning in the classroom. The best intervention is done through everyday opportunities as they arise in a child's natural environment. By using this time to help build solid foundational skills, it will benefit a child not only now but when they are a teenager and adult.
There are 6 modules in this course and up to 45 videos with quizzes to test your knowledge at the end of each module.
