Target Audience: Junior Infants to 2nd Class Teachers. SNA’s & Early Years
In this practical, down-to-earth webinar, participants will explore how play and playful learning can become a purposeful part of your infant classroom; not an add-on, but a powerful way to teach.
Participants will look at what meaningful play looks like in junior classes (Junior Infants to 2nd class), how to use play to support real, purposeful learning that supports language, independence and engagement right from the start and how to plan and assess playful learning without overcomplicating your day.

Presenter: Gillian Corbally
Gillian Corbally is a primary school teacher with fifteen years’ experience in a large urban school and currently holds the role of APII. She is a facilitator in play and playful pedagogies, co-host of the The Playful Lens Podcast and a creator and presenter of CPD webinars. Gillian has written DES-approved EPV/CPD courses and also writes articles on playful learning. Gillian works as an associate for the NCCA and also for Mary Immaculate College. Her work centres on playful learning, particularly in middle and senior primary classrooms.
