Drawing on evidence around the science of reading, it focuses on blending, segmenting, and building automaticity in a structured and engaging way. Teachers will gain practical guidance on starting phonics, maintaining consistency, and adapting teaching to support progress, ensuring children develop strong decoding skills from the outset.

Lorraine is an experienced primary school teacher and Deputy Principal, and the creator of Instagram page All Things Primary Ireland, where she shares practical, engaging ideas to support teaching and learning in the primary classroom. With a Master’s in Early Years Education and a strong interest in literacy, play-based learning, and effective classroom practice, Lorraine is passionate about supporting teachers at all stages of their careers.
