  • to enrich our pedagogy
  • to document the impact on young people as readers
  • to enable us to build reading communities
  • to encourage reluctant readers

Presenters - Kirsten Barrett and Hannah Sycamore

Kirsten Barrett and Hannah Sycamore are delighted to lead this Teacher Reader Groups (TRGs) for another year.

Both are keen to continue this free, evidence-informed CPD in Ireland, which will enrich your understanding of Reading for Pleasure (RfP) pedagogy and practice.  Kirsten has taught for 15 years across different stages in Scotland and Hannah is a newly qualified teacher with a background of working with the Scottish Booktrust.  New members are welcome as are previous attendees as every year is different.

They are both passionate about the importance of all children reading for enjoyment and the impact it has on their lives.  They are linking closely with the LAI (Literacy Association of Ireland) to enrich the whole series of webinars.
